Mueller
Mueller is a quickly growing neighborhood located just a couple of miles from central downtown and the University of Texas. Located in East Austin, South of 51st St, and North of Airport Blvd. and Manor Rd., this vibrant community occupies 700 acres and can currently be described as a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
North Loop
On the borders of the Rosedale, Hyde Park, and Brentwood neighborhoods, the North Loop neighborhood is a fantastic laid-back area with infinite charm that you’ll fall head over heels in love with. North of downtown and the University of Texas campus, this young community has become yet another epicenter of “hip” in Austin. Property values continue to rise, as North Loop is becoming home to many young families, students, and older residents who live in single family homes built in the 1940’s-50’s.
West Oak Hill
The home of the famous “Y” intersection, West Oak Hill is defined by Highway 290, William Cannon Dr., Southwest Parkway, Thomas Springs, and Circle Drive. Originally “Live Oak Springs,” Oak Hill was annexed by the city of Austin in 2000, and “West Oak Hill” is considered the furrowed west side where “the neighbors are kind, the schools are top-notch, and the stars can be seen brightly, just outside of Austin city lights.”
Warehouse District
Once upon a time, the Warehouse District neighborhood was just an extension of 6th Street, but today it’s perhaps the crown jewel of Austin’s diversity, boasting award-winning hotels, The ACL Live venue, towering views of Lady Bird Lake, and the very best restaurants and entertainment spots that our fine city has to offer.
Shady Hollow
The Shady Hollow neighborhood is family-friendly and located 10 miles South of downtown Austin, south of Slaughter Lane, spanning near the Hays county line near the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Established in 1978, it was among first planned communities in the area.
Clarksville
Founded in 1871, Clarksville is the oldest surviving freedomtown ‒ the original post-Civil War founded by former African-American slaves ‒ west of the Mississippi River.
Castlewood Forest
Located on the west side of Manchaca Rd. between Slaughter and Davis Lane – The primary neighborhood entrances are from Davis Ln. at Collingwood Dr., and from Manchaca Rd. at Crownspoint Dr. or Monarch Dr. Known for spacious yards with homes built mostly between 1968 –1985, this is the place where you may end up with with that swimming pool you’ve always wanted for a fraction of the price in other hot Austin neighborhoods.
Travis Heights
The Travis Heights neighborhood that truly has the best of both worlds. Spanning from I-35 on the east to Congress Avenue on the west, the northern border is Lady Bird Lake (or Riverside Drive) and the southern border is Oltorf Street – this is a place where residents can grab an afternoon run along the creekside trail before walking to South Congress Avenue for fajitas & margaritas with friends.
