South Congress Revisited
October 21, 2016 – 2 Minute Read
Some Austin neighborhoods are so iconic, so representative of the unique feel of our city, that they deserve a second look. The South Congress neighborhood is home to Austinites who want a high-status address with walkable options for food, fun, and shopping. From the famous “I love you so much” mural on the side of Jos coffee, to the three-plus hour wait for culinary favorites such as Hopdoddy or Home Slice, to the upscale fashion offered at By George and Stag Provisions – South Congress has something for everyone. However, just like the rest of the city, “SoCo” is not immune to the rapid growth and high turnover Austin has been experiencing since the mid-2000s. That’s why it’s always nice to check back in and see what’s new in the area. (See our original description of Austin’s SoCo neighborhood here.)
Nestled into the newly completed South Congress Hotel alongside eateries like the austere Otoko and the airy Cafe No Se, Revival Cycles is the kind of shop that turns customers into explorers. Every inch of the warm, two-story space is stuffed with biker paraphernalia, antique curiosities, and must-have items for the chic motorcycle enthusiast. The South Congress Location also serves as the storefront for Revival Cycles’ custom shop, where the dedicated Revival team creates one-of-a-kind bikes that double as moving works of art. Whether you’re a dedicated rider, or you just want to look like one, Revival Cycles has the unique style you’re looking for.
