Hi everyone, during shelter in place, we changed up our format a bit in hopes of sharing ideas and valuable information to strengthen our community while supporting fellow entrepreneurs and businesses that may have been struggling during COVID-19.

I’m Tarek Morshed with The Morshed Group at Sothebys, where we specialize in representing entrepreneurs and founders in residential Real Estate. Welcome to The Entrepreneurial Home Podcast where we interview Austin’s most successful men and women and discuss their business journeys and the entrepreneurial home that empowers them to thrive – both in business and in life. On this special edition we have entrepreneur, Brett Marz, the Co-Founder of BAMKO.

Brett Marz is the co-founder of BAMKO, a more than $200 million dollar company that designs, manufactures, and delivers award-winning branded merchandise for some of the world’s biggest brands.

Started in a dorm room with a childhood friend over 20 years ago, BAMKO has flourished into one of the largest and fastest growing branded merchandise agencies in the entire industry. Regularly awarded one of the “Best Places to Work,” as well as winning 17 prestigious PPAI Pyramid Awards over the last five years, BAMKO is the most award-winning firm in the industry.

The ever-expanding client roster includes many of the world’s most valuable brands. These brands choose to work with BAMKO because BAMKO is significantly more effective at using branded merchandise to solve business challenges and deliver tangible ROI for those clients.

In Brett’s role today, he acts as a business consultant to CMOs and other C-Suite Executives around the country. His job is to help unlock the power in a brand to create a powerful, emotional connection with a target audience. By creating personal connections with customers and employees, BAMKO generates loyalty and increases retention with the audiences that matter most.

Brett is happily married to his wife, Amanda, with whom he has three children (Mikey, Iris, and Logan). He grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA, and attended USC, majoring in finance. He has served as a Board Member for Camp Harmony since 2004, which was founded in response to the homelessness and poverty facing children in the community. Brett has made it a passion to dedicate time, money, and effort to growing the organization, which allows for homeless children to attend a full week of camp, as well as providing the children with hope and opportunities.  Since 2012, Brett has been a member of YPO, serving on the executive committee almost every year he’s been in the chapter.
